About
Since the attack by Hamas on October 7 2023, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has escalated. Israel launched a large-scale military offensive against HAMAS in the Gaza Strip, where more than two million people live in an open-air prison. This offensive has already resulted in tens of thousands of casualties, including adults and children.
In the West Bank, we work with local Caritas organizations on the economic development of disadvantaged Palestinian communities. In Gaza, Caritas Jerusalem is active in healthcare, which is particularly important in the current context of massive impoverishment.
