The majority of refugees in the world are received by neighboring countries and often live in camps. However, if the reception country offers no prospects and returning to their country of origin is impossible, resettlement can offer a new and more sustainable path. After they leave, they are then received in a third country that grants them refugee status. Once in Belgium, people can count on the support of Caritas to fully seize this new opportunity.
