Resettlement :

About

Resettlement is a procedure whereby refugees are selected and transferred from a country where they have sought protection to a third country that agrees ahead of time to provide a long-term resident permit. This procedure provides a solution for people who will not return to their country of origin, but who cannot obtain the necessary protection or the necessary integration perspectives from the first country that took them in.

The Integration cell of Caritas International, in close collaboration with the participating PCSWs, helps these people go through the administrative process and supports them as they build a network (organisations, teachers and neighbours, etc.) in Belgium.
