Objective
This project exists for the reinforcement of social links in Montenegro and Kosovo as well as the prevention of social isolation in marginalized rural groups: women, youth, and the elderly.
Contexte
The principal objectives of this project are to reinforce the social links in Montenegro and Kosovo as well as prevent social isolation of marginalized rural groups: women, youth, and the elderly. We will revitalize and develop rural areas in Montenegro and Kosovo in order to alleviate poverty. This will be done in cooperation with local self-governments in the two areas, who possess a good knowledge of the intervention areas, have participated in the identification and formulation of the project, and are fully involved in the implementation of assigned activities.
In the border region between Montenegro, Kosovo and Serbia, we are creating training curricula in the sectors of agriculture, tourism and social services. Following up on these trainings, we will create manuals, report, assess and visit national fairs on agriculture and tourism in Montenegro, Kosovo, and Serbia (Novi Sad). A regional cross border exchange will be organized in the form of a joint workshop on beekeeping in Rozaje. Through study visits, we share best practices on how to create employment opportunities for vulnerable groups.
Beneficiaries
Through this project, we will create 7 training curricula in 3 sectors: agriculture (processing herbs, beekeeping and homemade food), tourism (B&B, outdoor activities, tourist guidance), and social services (homecare giving). Through our partners, we will facilitate the delivery of 14 vocational trainings (in agriculture, tourism, and social services), 3 national fairs on agriculture and tourism in Montenegro, Kosovo, and Serbia (Novi Sad), as well as a regional cross border exchange.
