An inclusive Europe

«Welcome – a stronger Europe thanks to migrants. This is the title of the new report that has just been published by Caritas Europa. This publication brings together promising field practices and innovative experiences in integration.
“With this publication, Caritas Europa seeks to bridge the gap between obstacles to integration and the participation of migrants,” comments Anne Dussart, Caritas International, who contributed to the publication. “Based on the experiences of Caritas across Europe, the publication describes the multitude of obstacles faced by migrants in terms of integration and suggests ways to foster the full participation of migrants and host communities with the aim of achieving greater social cohesion.”

Sharing experiences

It also shares experiences that have enabled Caritas to build trust and ensure progress for both migrants and host societies. It offers ideas to policy-makers and practitioners on how to create an inclusive participatory environment and enable migrants and host communities to work together to build cohesion in our society.
Solutions-based, this publication provides an overview of the different funding options for integration and social inclusion practices. It also provides guidance to the governments, institutions and communities of the host countries, as well as migrants themselves, in order to achieve this goal.
